So today we leave from Bristol England. All this stress is on me. I have to find a faster and shorter way to get to Asia from England. I hope I can find a way so we can get our goods faster instead of waiting so long for it. We are sailing on the Matthew and there are 18 more men with me. We landed on land but it's not Asia its North America. I guess we’ll stay here for a bit.
I can’t WAIT to be on land again. This boat is so small; it’s getting tossed all around the ocean. We had a pretty bad storm last night. A lot of these men when we hit shore need to bathe; their pretty stink. So the storm kind of helped us in the smell department.

Dear King and Queen of England,
I am JOHN CABOT of Italy. I am stuck in North America I am forming a crew to finish my expedition. I have 5 boats and over 300 men working the ships. The reason I am here is because I was trying to find a faster way to get to Asia from England. On the way there was a bad storm and it took us off track and we landed here.
I wanted to ask if you can sponsor and send money for me to finish this expedition. This expedition will help you out so much. When I find the easier way to Asia, you won’t have to wait as long for all of your supplies and everything you need.
Yours truly,
John Cabot

My life has come to an end. I never made it to Asia. The king and queen did send money, but we had to return to England because we were running out of supplies.
Now I am on my death bed, so I don’t think I’ll be sailing again. I know there is an easier and faster way to Asia. I just wished I proved it. Instead they think I’m a crazy old man. One day they’ll know diff…….
